Meet the Director
Shawna Weimer, associate professor and director of the Center for Food Animal Wellbeing, is driven by her compassion for animals. As an applied ethologist, Weimer looks at animal behavior and how they respond to humans and their environment. Through her research, she is looking for ways to improve how people interact with animals and enhance animal environments in agriculture.
